Why does my hummingbird feeder turn the trees upside down?

It is a function of the optics created by a rounded glass container full of clear fluid. It acts as a solid convex lens and like any other convex lens held at a distance from the eye, turns the world topsy-turvy. Because this also miniaturizes the world, it also makes for an interesting photo sans hummingbird.
